I recently retrieved some ABS codes from my 2000 DeVille, C1214. C1243, and C1248 along with their definitions. The problem I'm having is locating the "Solenoid Valve Relay" on the vehicle to run some diagnostics along with any on-line wiring schematics. Any ideas on where to look for either?

I have emailed the wiring diagram for your vehicle's ABS through the email you registered with us. As for the relay, it is actually built into the electronic brake control module (EBCM) and is not serviceable separately.

Howdy bluelightnin6,

Thank's for the info and quick response. I'm not sure how the points system works for the feed back section of the forum but would like to leave a positive post so I'll check into that.

As to the ABS schematics, they're great and I was able to run a few checks. One system's check I performed was a continuity test for the ele. Motor which gave me about.5 ohm and along with the resistance of my meter's leads I would guess the motor had a dead short. When I check the the connector end to the motor there's power so the motor's not blowing any fuses. The motor is held to the ABS housing via Torx bolts so I'm considering pulling it to run a few tests. As far as the wheel sensors, all sensors show continuity and there's 5 volts at all sensor connectors. Will keep at it!
