1996 Cadillac Deville car wont start

I am having an electrical problem. I turn the key forward and no dash lights. Every once in a while it will turn over but wont start. I have replaced the battery, ignition switch, and checked fuses and relays but continue to have the same problem. If I leave the battery hooked up the fan by the radiator comes on and if the key is in the lock cylinder and turned to on position only the gear selection lights come on. What are my other possibilities. PLEASE HELP>

Sounds like you may have a class 2 communications issue. It usually can result in the symptoms you are describing. This can ba a circuit type fault, i.E. Shorted taking communications down, or a module fault with one that is on the communications network. Ideally, you should start with a scan tool to see if it can communicate with any, and all class 2 modules.
