I have a 94 cadillac deville with a service drive control indication light on.I recently purchased this vehicle and when I did the dealer gave me a "we owe" form to fix this problem the only thing is the light is still on and when I asked the dealer about this problem he stated that it was fix and that he just couldn't get into the system to reset the light. I would like to know is there any truth in this and also is there any way I can find out if the work was completed on the vehicle. Also is this a serious problem.

I'm assuming you mean service ride control. This could relate to a shock or strut, ride height sensor, or something in the system. If it was a GM dealer that this is from, there should have been no reason they could not 'get in the system'. At the least, the vehicle has on-board diagnostics, they could have cleared the code from it. I would assume it is not fixed, but a code would provide some more insight to assist you in determining for yourself.
