1970 / 472 cYlinder 5, 1 PUSH ROD BENT CAR SITIN FOR 2 YEARS REPLACEDD PUSH ROD BENT AGAIN, LIFTER BAD? CAN I RUN ENGINE WITH OUT THAT ONE PUSH ROD TO GET OIL FLOWING TO MAYBE FREE UP LIFTER

If it froze this bad. It is probably a wise idea to dissasemble and clean the rust out.

Problem may not be with the lifter. They usually will not stick up in the bore.

I lean towards a stuck valve possibly. Alot less lubrication in this area and most likely to stick. As lifter comes up the push rod meets an imovable object ( valve ). "It Bends". Seen this before in other engines big and small.

What do you think Merlin 2021.

If unleaded gas was being used its probally the valve thats stuck, take the valve cover off and rocker off and hit it with a hammer
