Engine Mechanical problem
1966 Cadillac Deville V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Car starts and runs good for about ten-twenty minutes but a miss seems to jump in almost from nowhere, presumably after the engine gets warm. I checked to see if all cylinders were getting fire while it was missing and only 5 plugs were prouducing an arch. What's wrong?

In theory, a faulty distributor cap is about the only thing that would drop three cylinders, or three bad wires. Identify the cylinders not producing spark, check individual ignition lead resistances(spec 1k ohms per foot), and check for continuity from your inside cap contact, to the outside terminal.
