This is from the GM service manual:

The following are possible causes of the malfunction:

"Â The wire to terminal connections in the side impact module-RF high and/or side impact module-RF low circuit

"Â The side impact module-RF wiring harness connector or if equipped with option code APL the Passenger Seat wiring harness connector

"Â The side impact module-RF connector

"Â The SDM wiring harness connector

Thoroughly inspect the wiring and the connectors. An incomplete inspection of the wiring and the connectors may result in a misdiagnosis, causing a part replacement with the reappearance of the malfunction. If an intermittent malfunction exists, refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Did you try to clear codes first? Does it come back?

My second opinion is to let the dealer do this and fix it right.
