1998 Cadillac Concours bad engine idle

Engine jumping. When its in park and drive and smoke coming out of exhaust when I stop at the stop light today the whole car shut off so I had to put it in park and turn it on again

What kinda smoke? Have you done plug wires lately? May also have a bad frt motor mount?

Did it start right back up?
