1997 Cadillac Catera won't start

I have a 1997 cadillac catera and one night I went to go start the car and it would not even crank, it was silent. The battery was full charge.I can start the car with a screwdriver by touching the solenoid.

Could bethe ignition switch or the transmission range switch-see below starter EWD
