What is involved in replacing bypass hose? Do I have to remove thermostat box to replace hose? It looks really tight to replace.

Hello,

No, you should be able to replace the heater hoses from the engine compartment. Just remove the hose clamps and the heater hose and replace with replacement hose and clamps. I would recommend replacing the OEM clip style hose clamps with worm gear type hose clamps which are available at any auto or hardware store.

Thanks,
Alex
