Buzzing noise from gas tank door?

Just started hearing a loud, one-second long buzzing sound from the gas tank access door when I open the doors with the key fob, or when the auto-lock feature activates shortly after starting to drive. Is this something that indicates a possible serious problem or can I ignore it? Thanks in advance for any help!

Sounds like a failing lock actuator. Any door not lock and unlock normally? Lock and unlock several times does noise stop and one lock quit functioning?
