Hi,

Are you replacing both bushings? Also, I need to know the engine size. Is it a 4 or 6 cylinder?

The idea that you are asking for size is out of the ordinary. I may not be able to get the exact dimensions. However, I will try. Usually, the parts are simply ordered by the year, make, and model of the vehicle.

Also, if you look at the pic below, I highlighted the two bushings I believe you are referring to. The pic is for a four cylinder vehicle, so if you have the v6, it may be different. However, when I get this type of design for repair, usually there are no bushings available and the entire control arm needs replacing.

Take a look at the pic below and let me know if that is what you are referring to.

Take care,

Joe

Hi Joe,

Thank you for your reply, in a recent inspection at the dealership the tech pointed out the bushings of the Suspension Control Arm (front) are worn out and dried. Their solution is to replace both the suspension control arms which cost about $400.00 each will set me back by more than a thousand dollars including labor.

The arms itself are made out of metal and there is nothing wrong with them, I figured if I could get the size of the bushings, I would be able to buy them off market and replace them.

Since this is my daily driver, I cannot have someone take off the arms and then go hunting for the bushing.

See here for Nissan Part and part diagram.

Part Number: 54500-3TA0B

I believe this is the left, there is an equivalent for the right side.

Any help or insights is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

As far as the bushings, I don't feel you will find the replacement parts. Also, you will need to remove/replace the ball joint as well.

I would recommend replacing the control arms themself. I found both lower for $184.00 if you can do the labor, you'll be way ahead.

Take a look at the pic below. Here is the URL to access the link.

If you try rockauto.com, you may find them for even less.

Let me know your thoughts. As far as finding the bushings needed, I question if you will. Also, they will likely need to be pressed or burned out from the arm.

Let me know.

Joe
