1998 Buick Skylark Thermostat

I checked my Chilton Manual and the picture is very confusing. Where is the thermostat on this car? Is it something that I can repair myself or should I get a mechanic?

Follow the upper radiator hose, should take you right to it! Fairly easy job. Don't know your skill level!
