Suspension problem
1970 Buick Skylark V8 Wheel Drive Type unknown Manual alot miles

the guy who I bought the car from had lowered the front end by heating the springs. I didnt want a lowrider I wanted a muscle car so I replaced the springs and shockes and now the front tires are bent out, ive gone through tires like crazy because they wear out on the inside of the tire quickly. I know something was damaged and bent from that guy lowering the front but what? When driving the steering has so much play i'm afraid to drive it to rough.

Hi there,

There is so much that can be wrong with the front end after being modified in that manner that I would recommend that the suspension be inspected by a qualified mechanic, this is something that will need to be visually inspected with a trained eye to pick up defects. The usual things will be alignment, ball joints, control arm bushes, etc. Have an inspection & report done before doing any work.
