1996 Buick Riviera brake lights

Can't figure out why the brake lights suddenly stopped working. The one in the rear window works. The tail lights for braking don't. Tried changing the bulbs, but that didn't do it. Any suggestions?

The problem is coming from the turn and hazard switch it goes thru this switch before it gets to the back. The rear window is wired differently

Thanks rasmataz. So do you know how to fix. Any suggestions. Too poor for a mechanic. The guy that is trying to fix it for me says he thinks you have to turn off the airbag so you can get into the steering colomn. Does that sound like how you go about it?

Would appreciate any clues on how to fix
