2002 Buick Rendezvous Can't put key in ignition

It was working fine when I arrived at work, but when I got in to head home, I couldn't get the key in the ignition. Could it be to locking assembly? Is it a major cost?

Try a small squirt of wd40 in the cylinder. You will probably have to replace the cylinder assembly.

What about having to re-program the key fob? Does it matter if there is any anti-theft device on the car?
