2002 Buick Rendezvous Automatic

For a few days now when I turn my right blinker on my brights come on with it. My service engine light been on for a year. Then today the service engine light started blinking really fast and went off and the car shut off. I had my transmission fixed a few months ago could that be an issue?

A blinking check engine light means emissions are at catalyst damaging levels. This will destroy a catalytic converter within several miles of driving. I recommend not driving it if the light is blinking and get it to a shop for diagnosis.
The engine dying could be because the catalyst was restricted to the point there was no exhaust flow.
