Buick Regal LS steering issues

I have a 98 buick regal LS - it has 105000 miles on it with a v6 engine. I've recently started having an issue(s) with it. When I turn to the right I lose all power steering and have to basically make the wheel turn. It does not however do this when I turn the left. It makes a clicking sound when turning right. My car has also been sort of stalling and "jumping" after stoplights - not sure if these two things could be tied together or not?

Might not be related. The P/S isuue sounds like the rack and pinion is going out. Sometimes the valving willl only work in one direction when the unit has lost a seal or the such. Have you had the caar tuned up? At 105k it is past due for a major tune (plugs, wires, fuel filter, injection service) Is the check engine light on or has it come on lately?
