Security light is on, why?

Upon starting my car this morning my security light was on and will not go off. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

Your chip on your key is not making contact clean it with some keyboard spray -same problem with my 1998 regal gs. Sometimes there are issues with the small wires that connect the key tumbler and the anti-theft module. This will cause the fuel pump to not run

Try performing a relearn first to see if it takes- See the guide below

My security light is on and my car wont start I have heard that it is my VANT in my car is that self repairable.

The only place that will have the proper equipment to test it is a dealer. If you need to get it started, turn the key to the run position for 10+ minutes. It should start after that.
