2000 Buick Regal 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 00 Regal with 75K on it. Vehicle has an intermittant shudder upon acceleration. It happens when the vehicle is hot and occurs before the vehicle shifts out of 1st gear. Sometimes there is a slight hesitation as well when at highway speeds and you try to accelerate. Fluid level is fine. Any suggestions on what the cause maybe?

Maybe fluid degragation. Has trans fluid and filter ever been changed?

The fluid and filter was just changed in the fall of 2008. Should I change it again? The fluid looks good when I checked it.

Maybe a faulty 1-2 shift valve. Have the trans scaned to see what maybe causing thr shudder.
