2000 Buick Regal hard steering

2000 Buick Regal 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

by mistake i put brake flud in power steering box now it steers like a truck. is there a way to drain the system or does every thing encluding the rack and pinion have to be reolaced?

If you haven't ran the vehicle with the brake fluid in the power steering system for very long than most likely it has not caused any permanent damage. You can drain the system and replace it with the correct GM power steering fluid. Place a drain pan under the rack and pinion and remove the power steering pressure and return lines from the rack assembly to drain the fluid.
