1999 Buick Regal Oddest car problem ive ever had!

Yesterday my 99 buick regal had an odd occurence. When I went to start my car it died as if the battery died. After several attempts at restarting the car- no success. Eventually my ignition stuck in an odd place an will not even turn over. Thinking it was possibly an electrical problem I purchased a brand new battery still no luck. I have spoke to several experts whom have seemed to think it is the ignition switch. Anyone have any suggestions or may have experienced this issue?

Hi there,

If the key will not turn, the barrel & key ass may be faulty, try adding a little powered graphite and gently work the key, if no good you may have to replace the assembly, check this out next.
