For the past 2 months the blower squeals when I turn it on, so, I have to immediately turn it off. It does this regardless of the speed I set it on. As a result I did not have sufficient heat in the car. Will I need a new blower or do you think this problem can be solved? Thanks for a reply! Adda M. Gontarz

I may be an 84 year old female but I am still capable of doing lots of minor repairs to my car---- I feel this is one repair I may need some help with. Thanks again!

Hi Adda, you probably need a new blower motor.

Thanks so much for the prompt answer! Well, your directions for removal do not sound too complicated. As soon as I have a decent weatherwise day I will give it a try. Will need it working when it is time to run the AC.

I would not let my 3 daughters get a driving license till they could prove to me that they could change a tire, install spark plugs, jump start, check all fluids, even changed the oil in the older cars. They are not sorry because that knowledge has saved them more than once! They have even learned how to put snow chains on! I am very proud of them!
