1997 Buick Regal shut down

1997 Buick Regal 6 cyl Automatic

Sometimes the car won't start. The engine won't even turn over. While driving, if I use a blinker, the car will completely shut off. Then it takes a while of toggling with the gear shifter from back to forth, and the car will start while in neutral only. I figure it is electrical since it shut's down when using the blinkers, but I don't know.

Hi:
First, if the engine only starts in neutral, chances are the neutral safety switch is bad. As far as the blinkers, check for ground problems. If none are found, have the body control module (BCM) tested.

Let me know what you find.
