1996 Buick Regal Transmission Fluid gone!

Hi, my car wouldn't go into drive, reverse, etc. I parked it and noticed what appears to be a transmission fluid leak (pinkish fluid dripping behind oil pan on passenger side). I checked the transmission fluid level (car off). It has none!

Can you tell me how this might have happened and recommend my next step?

Should I take it to a transmission specialist?

Hi there,

top up the fluid with the recommended type of transmission oil. And go get the leak checked, this just may be a leaking pan gasket so a transmission specialist can do this easily and may be get it serviced while it is in getting repaired as well.
