1993 Buick Regal reving motor sudden shut off

Once the car has been started it will suddenly quit running while driving and when restarted it will rev up to three thousand rpm. Once the car cools down for a longer period of time it will suddenly run just fine. What could be the reason for this problem? Thank you for your response clyde canaday jr. Kansas city missouri

It could be many things. A bad MAF, TPS, IAC. Could cause it. Also, a bad fuel pump can do it too. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure?
