Is the question is 'How to do u put on a DRIVE BELT'? If so - u put a 3/8 ratchet into the upper opening of the pulley tensioner & push the ratchet handle towards the windshield. The pulley tentioner is located within the 'drive belt' circle of pulleys, it's the only one that looks like it has 2 pulleys attached together. By the upper pulley u'll see the opening to put the ratchet drivrhead in to push the towards the windshield & thus loosening the belt to remove & put another on.

I eliev the 88 still has V-belts. THerefore, it wound not have a belt tensionier. I could be wrong, but that is what I remember from that year.
