2004 Buick Ranier 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

At a slow speed (10 to 20mph)on dry pavement the brakes act like it is on ice. The car will stop but the pedal feels like it hits a bump and then goes down a little farther. This does not happen at higher speeds.

Hi there,

Light pressure slow speed braking with poor stopping can be a failing (by-passing ) master cylinder, with extra pressure of harder braking the main seal is forced onto the cylinder wall with more force and fluid will not by pass, I would have this check first.
