My wife's 2002 Buick Park Avenue has on star which will be deactivated next year. It has 80,000 miles on it but she doesn't want to trade it to get ditigal on star.

What I need to know is the location, on this car, of the components so I can salvage the GPS portion of this system.

VCIU is in the truck behind the seat. I don't think that you can change that model to digital if has onstar with an RPO code UE1.

Vehicles with this equipment will no longer be able to receive OnStar services beginning January 1, 2008. At that time, service will be available only through Dual-Mode (Analog / Digital) equipment. Analog-Only vehicles cannot be upgraded to digital equipment.
