Symptoms: 15-20% reduction in gas mileage, particularly in town, engine will surge or buck sometimes on an upgrade, with smalll rpm loss, and check engine lite comes on. This is an intermittant problem.

Computer code is P0102 and the troubleshooting comment is: The PCM has determin3ed that the mass air flow input is lower than expected for the current engine operation conditions.

Previous maintenance: new plugs, wires and had fuel injectors cleaned by mechanic.

Does the MAF seem to be the problem? What about a PCV or fuel control system?

Air filter is clean? If fuel pressure and air filter are OK Replace the MAF Check the connector first! GM is famous for poor connections!
