Electrical problem
2002 Buick Park Avenue 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100K miles

I have a Mass Air Flow Alarm Code. I suspect the sensor itself is bad. It should probably be replaced. I am not a fan of swapping out $150 parts as a form of troubleshooting.

Do you know if Mass Air Flow Sensors are outputing a range 0-10 volts (analog) or (discrete) 12v on/12v off. If it is a discrete normally open sensor I can add a jumper wire to bypass sensor to rule out any other causes.

Thx

P0102 most likely sets due to dirty air filter, leak in air snorkle and MAF dirty. Try cleaning first with approved MAF cleaner.

I have purchased a new Air filter since original post. I did also clean sensor twice w/ele contact cleaner. I was unaware of a specific clearner for these.

Thanks
