Electrical problem
2001 Buick Park Avenue 6 cyl Automatic 245000 miles

HELLO
first my volt light came on. On and off for a week. Today she died.
I opened the hood and took the cover off of the motor to find a small rodents nest.
THEY CHEWED MY WIRES!
************************
There is one wire at the back of my motor. At the top. It clips on. It goes into a tube that looks like it goes to the fuse box. This wire is right beside a small hose with ENG on it.
WHAT IS THIS WIRE?
THANKS

What type of a clip is it? It sounds like a body ground strap based on your description. Is there any way you could upload a picture of it for me to see?

So I found out the wire is the middle clip on the fuel injector. I ordered the part and attemped 2 do it myself. I hooked up the battery, charged it up and nothing happened. The wires on the new one are both white. I was told it didnt matter. A little gas come out of the connector that supplies the fuel rail.
Didnt want 2 blow it up so I left it alone. I guess everytime I tried to crank up, gas was trying 2 go 2 the fuel rail. Im still searching for a soultion. I REALLY WANTED 2 DO THIS MYSELF.
It seemed like it would be so easy. So I thought.
