Are there any engine problems I should look for that are common in the ultra model. And any thing else
inherent of this car.

They are especially noted for lower intake gasket replacement. Usually $700 - $800 repair depending where you go.

im about to buy this car for 900 bucks but it has a few problems.

Handles on both front doors (on the outside) don't open the doors. The passenger side used to work until recently when someone washed the car.

How do I fix these problems? Is it just a cable that came loose?

Also when it is idle, for example sitting at a red light, the engine kind of chuggs and has a hard idle, but other than that it responds fine. Any ideas? Is the car worth the money?

Chances are the door handle itself broke where the linkage attaches to it. THey aren't too hard to replace.
As far as the idle, start by checking for vacuum leaks.

Let me know if you have other questions.

No problem I need advice. I have a chance to buy this car. The car is in great shape. A reputable shop in town is helping an elderly lady sell it. Any issues with these? Apparently this was very well taken care of. I hesitate only because I was given a 1998 Park Avenue that wasn't taken care of seemed like everything was breaking on it, ugh. One good thing I researched is they didn't start using the plastic intake until 1991. Advice or information?

Hello,

My advise is what are you waiting for. A well maintained vehicle owned by a little old lady. Used vehicles don't come much better than this. Please let us know what you decide to do and how it turns out.

Thanks,
Alex
