So the alarm sounds and dorr locks keep locking, this only happens if the drivers door is opened? Any door is opened? Car starts OK? This happens even with the key in the ignition?

It happens when any door is opened, at random. Not EVERY time, but YES if the key is in the ignition also. Nothing seems to prevent it. The locks are random as well.I'll be going down the road & the locks are constantly locking over & over. The alarm only going off as I am exiting or entering the vehicle

There are many possiblities, and a scan with a GM Tech II scan tool would be the easiest way to find the bad part, other than that REQUIRED starting point, you will spend many hours, and mabe a few unneeded parts will be replaced along the way without the scan. I can send some reading about it so you can see that even with a scantool, there are many tests to perform, in your case I will say it sounds like an intermittent problem and could be a ground wire problem. There are sensors in each door lock, and the trunk lid, any of those could also cause this. What does the security light on your dash do when you enter the car? Insert key and turn it to on? Start car? Does the light EVER come on with the car running?

The service engine light has been on since I bought the car from my dad 3 years ago. I don't know what the security light shows. Thanks for your suggestions, I will just have to take to a shop

The service engine light means the PCM(computer) has detected a problem and has stored a code for it. Scan please!

I had basically the same problem, my door locks kept cliking and locking but I had turned off the alarm using the DIC controll, as for the locks by chance I changed the master controll on the drivers door and this stopped the locks from clicking and never had the problem since, maybe I lucked out but it's worth a try, cost me $10.00 at the wreckers
