Hi there,

I have the same job on the hoist as I type this, yes they are a problem. The pumps are prone to leaking and are a sealed unit and can't be kitted. Steering boxes are expensive to o/haul but price will normally depend on what is wrong with it.

Thank you for the prompt reply. Should I assume then that if there is any leaking, it would be a waste of time to have the steering box "adjusted", and that I should replace it? If so, what would be an average cost-parts and labor? Thanks again!

Hi there,

You will not resolve the leaks with any adjustments, so the box will have to be O/Hauled. As for price I can't give you a realistic price just now as I am in Australia. I can access the US data base later this evening (my time) and then I should be able to give you a better idea.
