I have a 1990 Buick Park ave, with a 3800 engine It died on the street the other day. I just checked it briefly last night and there doesnt seem to be any spark. As it turns over I can smell gas, didnt actually pull a plug to see if they are wet or not. Pulled 3 plug wires off in the dark and turned it over Didnt see any spark. That is as far as I got with it. In the morning I will check it out more, a friend said maybe the coil pack-do all 3 coils go at once. He has a similar car-an Olds about the same vintage, ended up being coils and plug wires. Any suggestions wheree to start?

In response to my own problem. It was to cold in Winnipeg to do much on the car that involved moving any plastic parts around so I sent the car to the shop by tow truck -they replaced the ignition module and away we went, cost nearly 500 bucks when it was all over. The car is old and has 256,000 kilometers on it but still quite roadworthy and definitely expensive to replace
