I let my son drive my Buick park avenue but after he did he left the lights on and the battery drained. After that the engine fan stopped working and the engine overheats with just a couple of miles of driving I want to know if the two could be related and if they are how I can repair it. I would also like to know if its a fuse or if its a bigger electrical problem

Direct battery power to the fan motor if it comes on-start checking the fuse, fan relay, coolant temperature sensor or engine temperature sender gauge switch and last could be the computer.
