Replace Master cylinder?

Master cylinder What should be the price to replace? I was charged $462. That did not fix the leak. Now they want $700 to replace the "valve under the master cylinder" And $800 to replace "an electric box" damaged by the leaking fluid. What are reasonable charges for each of these three (3) replacements?

Hello,

It sounds like they are talking about replacing the electronic brake control module (EBCM).
That control module can run anywhere from $200.00 to $300.00.
Do keep in mind the shop always quotes with the labor price included.
Which can vary from shop to shop as they all have different labor rate.
