2003 Buick Lesabre Intermittent shut down when driving

The car starts and drives fine. It will then die, but start right back up. May go many miles before it does it again. It's like when you are driving down the road, something turns the key off and back on. It will restart in drive by itself, if you are going fast enough. If not, I pull off side of road and restart.

You could have a bad ignition switch, the electric switch on the lower part of the steering column.(This depends on if your key switch is on the steering column or not) If not, and it is dash mounted, the electrical part of the switch behind the dash could be bad. Either electrical switch can cause intermittent
contact, and shut the car down, and even restart it if contact comes back quickly.
