I just got gas and a carwash. Now the service engine soon light comes on and stays on, it does not flash. Sometimes, the light just goes out. Sometimes the car stumbles or hesitates. What could be wrong? Other than that, the car runs fine.

Have the PCM scanned for trouble codes, Autozone will do it for free. This will tell us a good place to begin.

Okay. Went to Auto Zone. "The PCM has determined that the mass air flow input is lower than expected for the current engine operating conditions".
What is the most probable cause?

Could be a bad Mass Airflow Meter. You can try cleaning it with the proper cleaner, but I have never had much luck with it working for very long
