I GOT A LOSE GAS CAP AND I WENT AND BOUGHT A NEWONE AND THE MESSAGE LOSE CAP AND NOW SERVICE ENG LIGHT IS ON.

My guess is the evap system set a code. Have the computer scanned at a nationally recognized parts store. They will most likely do it for free. Let me know what code they find.

You are probably going to find a P0442 code. You need to make sure the gas cap seals good. If it does, you will need to have the system pressure tested at a shop that has the proper test equipment.
