2000 Buick Lesabre Stalls on Idle

2000 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Automatic 170000 miles

My car sometimes stalls on idle.

The battery and spark plugs are new.

It has stalled 2 days ago on pulling into a parking lot when slowing down. But for the most part, it is okay if it is running. There is no problem starting it after the stall. And, if I put the car into park while idle, it does not stall. This has been happening for 2-3 weeks now.

I have had mechanics at two separate shops (that I have found reliable in the past) tell me that they can't find anything wrong.

The battery light goes on with the stall. No other lights go on.

The Buick dealer close to where I work is not reputable.

Does it have a rough idle? If not you will have to have someone put it in gear and hold the brake, then wiggle all the connectors you can find, if you get it to stall, try wiggling the same one, if you can reproduce the stall, check the connector for bent or pushed out pins. GM has a tech bulliten on the connectors.
