Electrical problem
1996 Buick Lesabre 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 172k miles

After sending this car to a dealer 4 times, and towing 4 times we have decided to try to fix this problem ourself. The reason they could not find the correct problem is that the car would not stall out for them. We have figured out that there is a water intrusion under the carpet of both passenger side and driver side of the car. After cleaning the rail, the car starts, runs great. However when you touch any part of the power window control it again shuts back off. When it shuts off, all power to windows, seats and engine goes down. I cannot seem to locate any diagram that shows where the wires running from fuel pump (replaced), seats and windows can be found. Is there ANYONE out there that has an answer? I need to know more than just what color they are.

We just removed the entire carpet and found that the box located under the passenger seat was covered with erosion. It looked sealed but exterior was corroded. The airbag light went on and security light. I am now allowing the car to dry out and see if the lights stay on. I am mainly looking to see if there are other solutions to this dilemma. I have already put about $1500 into this repair and hey, the car could not be sold for that amount. Just trying to keep my son in a car that has been very reliable up until now. Anyone?
