2003 Buick Century replacement

Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2003 Buick Century Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Ineed to replace the left shaft & cv assembly. How are these held in? Do I just pull them out, and slide them back in, or is there something else I should I know?
