2002 Buick Century How easy is it to fix my heater control

My heater sort of has been dying over the last few months - I lost all the low settings on the blower control and now I only have the high setting. Can anyone let me know what I need to buy and how hard would it be to change this out on my own or should I just stop being cheap and have a mechanic do this.

It may be the resistors. They're together on a small panel bolted onto the ductwork on the firewall, near the blower motor. The high blower speed is without resistance; the resistors reduce the power for the lower fan speed settings.
