Engine Performance problem
2002 Buick Century 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

no power going up small inclines - having trouble shifting gears and engine rpm races without moving out of one gear to next. Top speed 30=35 mph on slopes. Feels like lack of engine power (fuel or electric) not transmission problem.

You described the trans as not shifting and engine racing. Are you sure it isn't a trans problem? Also, as far as the lack of power, have you checked to make sure the catylatic converter isn't plugged?
