My 94 buick century has a surge at about 2000-2500 RPM like it is just being shut on and off with a switch. I have put a cam sensor in and did not help, I replaced the fuel filter and did not help also. I put all new spark plugs and no help eather. It runs good up to that RPM, you can drive it but not much over 55-60MPH before it surges on and off. I also checked the EGR and no help. I could use some HELP! On this Thanks!

Inspect and test the following below

Oxygen sensor
Catalytic converter
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Could also be ignition system.
