Almost everytime I accelerate, mainly when I'm pulling away from a light, or merging into traffic, I hear and kinda feel a low grinding noise. I"m not sure what is causing this. My boyfriend seems to think it's my motor mounts, but we didn't know for sure. Before I took it in to the mechanics to tell me it could be this, that or something else. I wanted to narrow down the options so I can bring it in and tell them what I think is wrong.

Please help!

If the motor mounts either crack or break all the way, you would never hear any "grinding" sound. Wher is the grind coming from? It might be (more than likely) coming from where the tire is. Get someone to stan OUTSIDE the car where they could hear it better and see if it is coming from the tire area. I've been working on cars for a while and I've never heard any "grinding "noise from the motor area
