1994 Buick Century air filter replacement

1994 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Re: the air filter housing, how do I open it to replace the filter? There are no obvious clips or screws holding the cover piece on. The cover does not seem to rotate in either direction towards a release position. I'm hoping that the release method is not from underneath the housing.
So, from a first look, I'm stumped.
What's the secret?

It is a round filter in a canister. There is a tube that comes from the throttle body to the air filter housing. Loosen the clamp on the intake hose to the canister then pull the hose up inside you will see a nut or wing nut remove that then the lid comes up and remove the old filter.
