Bucking and jerking while trying to accelerate

My car all of a sudden started bucking/jerking while I was going down the road, trying to accelerate. I could not get over forty mph at one point. I stopped and started again, this time with the bucking continuing, but letting me accelerate to sixty mph. All this took place and my engine light came on. Please help!

Error says "Rocker arm oil control senor".

I am not sure what specific code that is so if you can provide the actual code then we can look up the info on it.

However, I suspect this is an issue with the variable valve solenoid.

I am attaching the info below on this but without the actual code this is what makes the most sense.

Basically, in changing the oil, it may have freed this up for a short time so we could have greater engine issues going on with metal or debris in the engine. When you have metal in the engine it will cause this to stick and have issues. So, if nothing else, I would replace this and go from there.
