The brake pads and rotors were replaced by Toyota themselves two months ago, I gave it thousands of miles and plenty of time to break in to see if it just needed broken in. Nope, still does the same thing (I only got the pads and rotors for this issue nothing else). Brakes squeak "only" when letting off of the brake from a stopped position. It's very annoying. Literally traffic, stop signs, etc, it does it. I don't know much about car lingo or anything and mechanics usually try taking advantage of me to get me to pay much more for a bunch of random other things. I really just want someone to help me out with a real possible solution and how I can word it to a mechanic shop/what I can expect to pay on average (I live in central North Carolina) the car listed above it is a base model with replaced pads and rotors and this is the issue I'd like to get some insight about and what I can do next that isn't going to break the bank. Thank you!

Good morning,

This sounds like the pads are moving around and causing noise. The hardware needs to be checked and replaced if necessary.

As far as the price for pads and rotors is concerned, plan on about $175.00 to $200.00.
